A Noon Stroll Along Paris with the Classic Chansons

A member of the VivaVoce Vocal Ensemble, Durata Haciu received his piano and solfege training during her high school years at the Cario State Conservatory, and her voice training at the Cairo Opera with Ceylan Rattle. Füsun Helvacı started her voice and solfege training at the Evrensel Sanatlar school, and like Durata Haciu, continues her voice training with vocal trainer Olcay Melektosun. From classical to musicals, to pop songs performed solo, in duet and as quartet, the ensemble has a repertoire that aims to appeal to all tastes. The ensemble has performed at Koç University, Pera Arts Academy and the Moda All Saints Church. Serj Mısır started his music career at an early age through private piano tuition. He was accepted into the İstanbul Avni Akyol Fine Arts High School Department of Music. During high school, he studied jazz with Rene Macaroğlu, and went on to graduate from the Marmara University Department of Music Teaching in the piano branch. He started performing with his father Armando, and took the stage with such artists as Melis Sökmen, Zeynep Özyılmazel, Buzuki Orhan Osman, Seran Bilgi, La Descarga and Dolunay Obruk. In this concert featuring Serj Mısır along with VivaVoce, the trio will perform a selection of unforgettable French chansons sung in various languages by Tino Rossi, Yves Montand, Jacques Brel and Edit Piaf, among others, from the 1950s to the 1980s, presenting a popular repertoire that will get you singing along.
