Established in 2004 by Begüm Gökmen, Golden Horn Brass is Turkey’s first and longest running brass quintet. Comprised of Julian Lupu, Renato Alexendru Lupu, Begüm Gökmen, Sinan Şirin and Emre Berbergil, who specialize in the orchestral repertoire as well as in the domain of education, the ensemble meets audiences with a very diverse program in every concert. Their concert programs include compositions from the Baroque and Classical periods, as well as unforgettable jazz and pop songs and sophisticated arrangements of folk melodies. Named “Chamber Ensemble of the Year” in the Donizetti Classical Music Awards organized in 2014 for the fifth time by the Andante magazine, Golden Horn Brass continues to perform frequent concerts in Turkey, as well as representing our country in prestigious events around the world.
