For clarinet virtuoso Ramazan Sesler, music is a family story spanning three generations, on a path from Drama to Keşan, from İstanbul to stages around the world. Ramazan Sesler continues the tradition of Selim Sesler, who was named “the Coltrane of the clarinet” by The Guardian, made a mark on his time as one of the greatest clarinet masters of the world and stood out with his vivid style, technique and aesthetic. With his stage performance titled A Gırnata Legend: From Father to Son, Ramazan Sesler carries the flag of the “Sesler” legend in our time.
Exploring all the subtleties of his instrument in his broad repertoire ranging from subtle maqams to Thracian and Balkan rhythms, Ramazan Sesler exhibits the original “Sesler” style that made its mark on Turkey and the Balkans.
You are invited to this special night where Batu Şallıel on the saxophone and Kaan Bıyıkoğlu on the keyboard will be on stage.
