Lepidus Quartet was started in 2011 by Hande Küden (Violin I), Aylin Amtmann (Violin II), Öykü Koçoğlu (Viola) and Yılmaz Bişer (Violoncello). The quartet aims to create awareness on the importance of chamber music. LQ won their first prize at the 2012 Yaşar University Chamber Music Competition in İzmir. The jury was composed of such highly reputable musicians as Prof. Lukas David, Dr. Kürşad Terci, Christos Grimpas, Yorgos Kanalidis, Vittorio Bresciani, Nicos Zafranas and Francesco Diodovich. LQ obtained the opportunity to perform in Liverpool and Como. The quartet has also performed at the İstanbul Borusan Music Hall, the Notre Dame de Sion Concert Hall, İş Sanat, Ankara University, Adana Çukurova University, İzmir A. Adnan Saygun Cultural Center, the Türkan Saylan Cultural Center, the 23rd Akbank Jazz Festival with Martin Fondse and Eric Vloeimans, as well as in Yeosu and Seul.
