Rachmaninov Anatolian Project



The album and concert project of Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı, a young Turkish pianist, the Rachmaninov Anatolian Project brings the solo piano works and lieds of Rachmaninov, one of the greatest pianists and composers of the 20th century, together with Anatolian instruments. “Rachmaninov Anatolian” project, featuring compositions with Eastern influences by Rachmaninov, preserves the original forms while arranging them for Anatolian instruments. In some pieces of this project, which is half solo and half trio, Ertan Tekin accompanies the pianist with the duduk, Cenk Erdoğan with the bowed tambourine and fretless guitar, and Erkut Cantürk with vocals.

Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in concert pianist at the Salzburg Mozarteum, one of Europe’s most prestigious universities for music, after graduating from the piano department of Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory. During her 5 years in Austria, she contributed to various albums and gave concerts.
