Marillies Guschlbauer – Cello / Nikolaus Guschlbauer – Piano

Having played together since their childhood, the siblings Marilies and Nikolaus Guschlbauer managed to establish a great harmony and sensitivity in their sound together as a duo.

They performed in concert series at the Wiener Festwochen, the Niederösterreichischer Musiksommer and Schloss Rothschild Reichenau, amongst others. In 2018 they won the ON STAGE competition for chamber music, and in 2019 they won 2nd prize as bestplaced in the highest category at the International Competition “Giovani Musicisti – Città di  Treviso”. Further recitals have taken them to Milan, Prague, Washington DC, New York,

Nassau, Spain and Switzerland.

Both are also multiple prize winners as soloists at national and international competitions, e.g. the Manhattan International Music Competition 2016 and the Rome Piano Competition 2014. They received chamber music lessons in master classes with Hatto Beyerle, Evgenia Epshtein, Patrick Jüdt, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Robert Levin, Johannes Meissl, Peter Nagy, Petr Prause and Jan Talich.
