Born in 1961 in İstanbul, Kerem Görsev started his music education at the İstanbul City Conservatory in 1967 and continued at the İstanbul State Conservatory in 1972. Görsev developed a passion for jazz in his conservatory years, and worked with such jazz musicians as Ed Howard, Rabin Kenyata, Doris Troy, Vinnie Night, LaVerne Butler, Allan Harris, Clifford Jarvis and Harvey Thompson in various jazz clubs until his recording debut.

Releasing “Hands and Lips,” his debut album, in 1994, Görsev went on to release a total of 18 albums to great acclaim in his career spanning more than 30 years.

“Therapy,” which he released in 2010, was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2011 in the “Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album” category.
