Gina Gibney invites audiences into an intimate reflection on her past work in Duet, a sequence of restaged and reimagined works. Spanning 25 years, these movement conversations are drawn from evening-length works beginning with the 1992 Landings and extending to Gibney’s present day work in process. Gibney Dance has been working with survivors of intimate partner violence for the past 15 years and its Company members offer over 500 free movement workshops in domestic violence shelters throughout New York City.
Don’t miss this unique collaborative work of KOÇ-KAM Gender Studies Center and Gibney Dance / Move Against Violence Project.
*Before Gibney Dance performance, Karo Kadın (Lady of Diamonds) will be performed by choreographer-director İlkay Türkoğlu.
