Swedish scriptwriter Lars Norén’s play, “War” is on Sevgi Gönül Cultural Center’s stage with Pürtelaş Theatre Company’s version. The play tells the story of a family struggling with the consequences of living in the midst of a war-torn land. Although written just after the Bosnian tragedy, it speaks to a universal audience. The experience and knowledge of “war” is unfortunately still very resonant.

Serdar Biliş who continues his works in Istanbul and London takes “War” to the stage. Last season “War” won the prize of International Association of Theatre Critics “Best Play of the Year”.
