In the distant future, in an unnamed country with a completely unfamiliar social order, a huge meteor strikes the Earth and lays to waste a large area, creating the mysterious Zone. According to the myth that has spread, the wishes of anyone who enters the Zone are granted. The Zone is guarded by the military, and entry is only allowed for the brave Stalkers who have reached the required maturity to escort those who enter with them. Our hero, the Stalker, decides to escort a scientist and a writer who want to enter the Zone, despite the objections of his family.
