A conversation with actress Esra Dermancıoğlu on creating a consistent and convincing character on stage and in front of the camera.

Born in İstanbul, Esra Dermancıoğlu completed her university education in Art History at the Franklin College in Switzerland.

After attending various workshops at Şahika Tekand Studio Players and abroad, she studied acting with Laçin Ceylan, and attended the conservatory class of Derya Alabora.

Dermancıoğlu first acted on camera in 2009 in the TV series “Avrupa Yakası”, and continued her career with Demet Akbağ’s “Sen Harikasın” as a guest actor. She went on to play roles in such TV series as “Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem”, “Serçe Sarayı”, “Sil Baştan”, “Doksanlar” and “Galip Derviş”. She currently plays in the TV series “Bir Zamanlar Çukurova” on ATV.
