The latest film by The Artist director Michel Hazanavicius, Le Redoutable is both a cinematic love story and a dedication of respect to the legendary director Jean-Luc Godard. Starring Stacy Martin as Anne and Louis Garrel as Godard, the film also features The Artist star Bérénice Béjo. The film was adapted for the silver screen based on the memories of Anne Wiazemsky, the real-life start of Redoutable, and wife of Jean-Luc Godard.

Paris, 1967. Jean-Luc Godard, the most controversial director of the time, is filming The Chinese Girl, starring his love Anne, 20 years younger than himself. The happy couple get married, but the interest in the film, and the events of 1968 that follow, cause Jean-Luc to question himself.
