Chinese Shadow Theater holds a very important place within the tradition of Asian Shadow Theater. Incredibly colorful images, their motions very close to reality, always keep the Theater vivid and unique. As we celebrate the 500th anniversary of Karagöz this year, the festival intends to present distinguished examples of shadow theater from around the world. With “The Turtle and Crane”, the talented master Mao Mao from Beijing will enchant us.
